1. Tell us about the brand ‘Nature N’.

Nature N is a brand dedicated to sustainability, inspired by nature, and committed to creating timeless souvenirs using discarded shellfish shells for a quiet and peaceful everyday life for our customers.

2. What inspired you to develop ‘INCENSE N’?

Since my childhood, I have been familiar with the soft texture and unique pearlescent color of oyster shells. I wanted to use this aesthetic and tactile quality to address the regional issues caused by oyster shell waste in my hometown. I was also confident that I could create a modern yet distinctly Korean souvenir.

3. What aspect did you focus on the most while developing the product?

First and foremost, I wanted to develop a practical souvenir for everyday life while capturing the traditional beauty of Korea. Furthermore, I put significant effort into creating a product that addresses environmental issues and embodies future-oriented environmental values.

4. Developing an eco-friendly yet visually appealing product must have been challenging.

Developing and manufacturing the product using upcycled oyster shell waste as an eco-friendly new material meant I needed to invent mixing techniques, mold technology, and post-processing technology for this unprecedented project. This required 10 years of time and substantial investment in developing the necessary equipment, facilities, and tools.

5. What was the most memorable moment during the contest?

It can only be the time I heard the award announcement. It was an incredibly fulfilling moment.

6. What are your future plans?

We aim to grow into a beloved brand in both domestic and international markets through a wider variety of products utilizing new eco-friendly materials. In particular, we are focusing on expanding to overseas markets, setting a target of achieving sales of 500 billion KRW within the next 10 years.
